Happy Birthday to My Daughter!

Today is a very special day for me. As we celebrate my daughter Allie’s 24th birthday, I sit and wonder just how the years have flown by so quickly. Maybe it’s because Allie has given us all so much pleasure from day to day, the way her heart sings with genuine laughter, how she isn’t afraid to dance like nobody’s watching, what a really true and loving friend she is or just because I can’t wait to see what she comes up with tomorrow. Actually, I think it’s all of the above and more.

I am so proud of the young lady that we raised. Of course we went through the same crazy teenage girl years, but from her days of dancing in talent shows, bobby sox, soccer, cheerleading, great times in Konachti, Hawaii and Florida, preparing for her Bat Mitzvah, having great old ‘down to the soul’ friends like Carlie, Lisa, Angie, Ashley, Allison P and Stefanie, traveling to Chicago, New York and Las Vegas, graduating Cum Laude from college, to growing up to be the wonderful young professional woman she is today. Every day is a delight, every moment a pleasure.

Allie makes me laugh when I’m down or sad, she makes me sing out loud in the car (really!), she helps me not to worry so much about those you can’t change, but to just love the ones that matter most even more. She truly knows what the golden rule is and how to treat others the way she wants to be treated. Allie knows how to be a daughter, sister, neice, granddaughter, cousin, friend and how to give great BIG and from the heart. She’s knows how to be interested in others and the conversation doesn’t always have to be about her. Most importantly, family is important to her in every way. I’m proud that she has traditions and knows the really important things in life to pass down to her children. I know this is where her strength and character came from and that she will be able to be the core of her own family some day. I feel good that Allie will make someone very special – very happy some day.

I guess I could say that yes…our daughter is beautiful, but she’s beautiful both inside and out. I love her for all that she is today. I can’t wait to see what she brings tommorrow!

We are proud of you Allie and love you more everyday.

Happy 24th Birthday my best friend!

Love,

Momma (a.k.a. Mrs 0)

Happy Birthday and More!

I’m back and it’s been a busy and short week. The most important thing I have to do today is to say Happy Birthday to my wonderful husband Terry, Beli and Allie (in the week’s order)! What the birthday crashers (hahaha Rex & Kevin!) did to Beli and Allie’s desks was unbelievable. Hope you loved the banana cream pie and brownies. Yum!

We celebrated Terry’s birthday with our family while in Baltimore at our family reunion and then in Washington, DC with Jill’s family and mine. He got to meet a lot of my family for the first time and they loved him too! I don’t think he knew what he was in for, but got a real taste of a big family who loves to visit with each other and eat. We had a blast and I have more to share later!

Speaking of Allie and brownies, you really outdid yourself with the brownie cupcakes for Terry, Mysti and Beli’s birthday. It’s amazing what Reese’s peanut butter cups, cream cheese frosting and drizzled chocholate and caramel can add to a brownie. We love brownies and cupcakes so much, that we dedicated a whole section to them. Actually, we think there are two sweet things in life…cupcakes and cupcakes! Mrs. O cupcake favorites are the book 500 Cupcakes (great recipes…great images!), a mini cupcake pan and our Wilton 3 in 1 cake and cupcake carrier. Don’t forget cupcake liners, too.

Oh…if you haven’t heard the latest, TGIF has a new meaning at Organize.com. You can get up to two free gifts in our The Gift Is Free Program. Just choose two items when you make any purchase and add them to your cart. It’s that simple!

I’m off to enjoy the weekend and hope you will do the same.

Happy Organizing!

Mrs. O

Happy Birthday Mysti!

It was a great 4th of July weekend and we’re still celebrating! This time it’s for Mysti! Mysti is our lead content editor and is someone to celebrate. She has been with Organize.com for almost four years now and I am lucky enough to have her on my team. From MOD lunches to WI parties at our house, we’ve all had some great times with Mysti. I think her bringing the ‘girly girl’ out in her, has been one of the things we’ve have all had a good time with. Pink is now in her vocabulary!
Mysti's Birthday Happy Birthday Mystical!

I’m traveling for the next week, so you won’t hear from me until then. I’ll be visiting with my family in New York (can’t wait to see you Jason!) and then to our family reunion in Baltimore (Hello Salacuse Family!). We have family coming in from New York, Chicago, Nashville, Florida and California. I can’t wait until the Maryland Crab Feast! It will be Terry’s first, so I’m really excited.

Speaking of travel, I started getting organized over the weekend. My latest and greatest favorites are the Pack This List, my neck pillow, and cute luggage tags. I throw a document holder in my purse or carry on, so that everything is all in once place and easy to find.

Where ever you are off to this summer, have a great time! Remember that when you are organized, you tend to be more calm. When you are calm…so is your family!

Happy Organizing!
